Help test Petopia's WoW Forever hunter pets

Petopia is collecting WoW Forever hunter-pet reports. Check the tame finder first, then report a new tame, look, rare, ability, or attack speed.

Petopia is collecting WoW Forever hunter-pet reports while it builds out its Forever database. Before you report something, check the current tame finder, then bring Petopia a first-hand report about a new tame, look, rare location, family ability, or attack speed.

That helps with the details that change between the beta client, older Classic data, and player reports. It also keeps one good sighting from turning into a repeated rumor.

Why does Petopia need WoW Forever hunter reports?

Petopia opened its Forever section with original Classic looks and pets, plus the new Forever families and abilities. Its forum threads still ask beta testers to help confirm what is in the game and what needs correction.

The current questions include training-point costs, unusual ability ranks, and whether a new ability comes from a trainer or a wild creature. Those are the kinds of details a database cannot safely guess from a tooltip or an old Classic entry.

This site and Petopia do not share a database or a submission system. Use this site to search the roster we have, then post your own observation to the relevant Petopia Forever forum thread.

What does Petopia Forever already track?

Petopia's live Forever ability page lists abilities from trainers and wild creatures, their minimum pet levels, and known training sources. Its family-data thread also tracks the changes Forever has made to pet families and abilities.

That is useful before you go testing. You can compare known ability ranks here, then check Petopia's page when you want to see whether a trainer or a wild creature is already listed as a source. A report is most useful when it confirms something missing or contradicts a current entry.

Which pet facts are still useful to test?

The new-pets thread is gathering reports about tameable beasts, appearances, rare locations, and family abilities. Attack speed is useful too, because it can differ between beasts in the same family.

Do not assume one wolf, cat, or tallstrider proves the same swing speed for the whole family. The hunter pet attack speed guide explains why the individual creature matters. Petopia's family-data thread is also still checking how Faster Attack and Slower Attack are represented.

Rare sightings matter most when they include enough context to be checked again. Before you post one, use known Forever rares to make sure it is not already documented.

What should you record before reporting a tame?

Start with what you saw in the game, not what somebody else reported. Record the creature name and appearance, its family, the location if it is a rare, and any ability or rank shown when you tame it.

If you checked the pet's swing, include that too. Petopia testers specifically asked for attack speed because it may vary within a family. A report that says what you tamed and what its pet information showed is more useful than a broad claim that a family is fast or slow.

If an ability appears to be trainable, note whether you saw it at a trainer or learned it from the wild pet. The forum is still asking for that distinction on the new Forever abilities.

Where should you post a Forever pet report?

Post a new-tame, appearance, rare-location, or ability finding in Petopia's New Pets in Forever thread. The related family-data thread is where the project is collecting questions and corrections about family data and abilities.

Keep the report to what you personally tested. If something is only a rumor from Reddit, leave it out until you can verify it in the beta.

How can you check whether a beast is already known?

The current site roster has 748 placed and unplaced beast records. Search the tame finder by name, zone, family, level, or speed before you set out. Use family abilities and diets for the broader family comparison, and read the Forever taming rules before you plan a test at the edge of your level.

If the beast is not there, or the details do not match what you saw, that is useful evidence for a report. A clear first-hand note can improve both databases over time.
