Whispering Forest, the new corner of Tirisfal. East and south of the fairy ring, near the rocks.

The spectral blue wolf from vanilla, and the most camped rare in the beta. You can tame him at 10 and he stays 12. He has at least two spawn points and seems to patrol between them. You do not need to clear the wolves around the ring. One tester got him right at a server reset. Layering makes the timer hard to pin down, so bring something to do.

An icy blue cat, a look you could not tame in vanilla. No abilities on tame, tameable at 10. The respawn is short compared to the other rares, which makes him the easiest of the new looks to get.

A rare owl on the same model as Hellhoot from Winterspring. No abilities on tame. At 10 one tester's had 274 health, 605 armor and 19 to 26 damage. Testers report it cannot learn Screech yet, and a bug report is in.

A rare bear in Shadowgale Forest on Zephras Isle. The first tester to tame him also got Savage Rend 1, then lost it. Either that was fixed or the bear's own Swipe replaced it.

An elite slyvern with a dark coat. She is tameable, but the game codes her as a wolf, so she uses wolf sounds and learns neither Trickster's Dance nor Furious Howl. Testers expect the label to change to fox.
